Our Story
D.D.Design is a Slovene family owned company with production of leather products since 1970.
In 50 years of working we have regular business customer accounts that are highly reputable and with that also many individual clients. Many of our customers have been shopping from us for years.
In 1970 Janez and Štefanija Dimc opened their first work shop in Domžale, where they were manufacturing purses, belts, wallets and other custom products from business customers like Maksimarket Ljubljana, Centromerkur, Mladinska knjiga, Porsche, Napredek Domžale, Supermarket…
In 1989 the company changed its name to D.D.Design to the direct descendant and new successor – Davorin Dimc.
In 1994 the family in Domžale opened their own store with fashion leather products (purses, wallets, belts…) and one year later they opened another store in Ljubljana (the capital city in Slovenia).
Basic production programs:
Production of promotional leather products with warm print (blind print, print with foil) for business customers: (keychain, diary, case, apron for welders, caterers, window cleaners, hairdressers, waiter’s wallets, belts, knife cases…)
Custom upholstery of products (bed covers, chair seats and benches, seats for motorcycle…)
Manufacture of leather furniture handles for business and individual customers. For this purpose, customers can custom make their own decorative mounting screws for the handles, on which we engrave a graphic image of your choice.
Because the only constant thing in business is change, we as D.D.Design decided that on the 50 year anniversary we will open a new store in which you are in right now, where we joined products of D.D.Design and manufactory of massive furniture Rustika Masiva d.o.o.
Two companies that are keeping the traditional Slovene crafts, that is why we do projects of leatherwork, carpentry, carving, artificial blacksmithing, hand paintings, stonemasonry, restoration...
